Founded by artist Hüsamettin Koçan in the village of Bayraktar in Bayburt, the Baksı Museum won the 2014 Council of Europe Museum Award, leaving its world-renowned competitors behind. Baksı Museum sheds light on both Bayburt and the world in the impassable mountains where the Black Sea meets Eastern Anatolia.
