

Born in Malatya, Fatma Soyer is the daughter of a migrant worker family who emigrated to Germany. She owns a hair salon in Berlin. To cater to German customers, she employs two German workers. Her husband, Hüsnü Soyer, runs a small catering shop where he prepares Turkish food and delivers lunches to companies. The family, having adapted to German society, also strives to preserve their cultural values and Turkish identity.
